Q. Where are you located?

A. Our address is 737 Lower Main St., Wailuku, HI 96793. We are located right across from the 76 station and the Wailuku Industrial Park. For driving directions, click here.


Q. What are your store hours?

A. Our store hours are Monday – Friday, 10am to 6pm. We are closed on major holidays.


Q. Do you sell Computer Hardware and Accessories?

A. Yes. We carry a large selection of new computer hardware for both PC and Mac computers. Our website displays our product selection in real time, so any “in-stock” item is available in our store. PROTEK is also an authorized HP, Lenovo, IBM, Netgear, D-link, Toshiba, and T-Mobile retailer. We are also an authorized Clearwire reseller and carry a large selection of Apple Products.


Q. Do you carry accessories for Apple products?

A. Yes. We have a vast selection of Apple accessories, including power adapters, Apple Pro keyboards, display and video adapters, wireless mice, and much more.


Q. How can I contact you for pricing, hardware recommendation, or repair service questions?

A. If you are looking to reach us during non-business hours, please fill out our Customer Service Form and we will get back to you within 24 hours. You may also call us during business hours at 1-808-244-6699.


Q. My iPod is broken but still under warranty. How can you guys help?

A. As an Apple authorized service provider, we offer mail-in servicing for broken/damaged iPods. Call us at 808-244-6699 to see if you qualify and to discuss timeframes.


Q. Do you convert Video Cassettes, Photo Negatives or Slides to CD or DVD?

A. Yes. We offer a drop-off and pick-up service at PROTEK in partnership with Mid Pacific Media.


Q. Where can I find information about useful software applications?

A. If you are looking for software application information, feel free and view our reviews and news page, or visit our forum for many helpful tips and reviews.


Q. Do you carry any additional memory for my computer?

A. Yes. PROTEK does carry RAM upgrades for several types of desktop computers as well as many of the newer laptops. If we do not have your specific type of RAM in stock, we also do special orders for Notebook memory. Please visit our store or contact us to discuss your memory needs. Make sure you know exactly what type of computer you have in order for us to best serve you.


Q. Do you sell memory cards for my cell phone or digital camera?

A. Yes. We stock several types of memory cards, including Micro SD cards, Mini SD, as well as SD for cell phones and other portable multimedia devices.


Q. What types of accessories do you carry?

A. For the electronics enthusiast on the go, we offer several accessories for your mobile devices. For your laptop, we have Laptop Bags, Sleeves, Bluetooth Mice, Wireless Keyboards, and flash drives. iPod owners can find many iPod accessories, including travel kits, acrylic cases, silicone sleeves, armbands, and charge/sync cables.


Q. Do you sell video games?

A. No. At this time we do not carry video game software. We do sell customer gaming computers and equipment, and we have a large supply of hardware including mice, keyboards, headsets and large LCD screens to help you enjoy your gaming experience.



Q. Are you able to come to my house to fix my computer?

A. No. Currently we do not offer a house-call service. If your computer needs servicing, please bring your entire computer, along with any necessary cords and software to our storefront and we will be happy to provide the repairs. If your laptop needs repair, you must bring your AC adapter in order for us to provide you with the assistance you need. If you are having software problems, such as issues with Windows software or hardware installation disks, please bring all of your software disks as well.


Q. Do you provide on-site services for businesses?

A. Yes. PROTEK provides on-site services to business in central, upcountry and south Maui. If you are looking for office computers, printers, wireless networking, Ethernet or electrical wiring and setup, please call us at 244-6699 for availability and pricing.


Q. Are your technicians certified?

A. Yes. Our Computer Technicians are CompTIA A+ Certified and Apple Certified. PROTEK is the only Gold CompTIA Authorized Service Center in Maui. We are also one of the only Apple Authorized Service Providers for repairing Apple product still under warranty.


Q. What repair services do you offer?

A. At PROTEK Hawaii, we offer in-store repair of HP PC, Toshiba PC, Lenovo PC, Mac and Custom built computers including: Hardware repair, software installation, virus removal and data backups including backups of failed hard drives. We also offer Epson Point of Sale (POS) equipment repair return services.


Q. How long does it take to repair my computer?

A. Most repairs are completed within one to three business days. Special orders or holidays may delay its completion.

Q. Do you offer Graphic Design, Web Design or Bulk Printing Services?

A. We partner with Mid Pacific Media to provide you with all of your designing needs. If you are looking for Graphic Design, Web Design or Bulk Printing Services, visit www.midpacificmedia.com.


Q. Do you recycle or dispose of old computer equipment?

A. No. For a safe, legal way to dispose of your computer equipment, visit www.mauicomputerdisposal.com.


Q. Do you currently ship outside of Maui?

A. Yes. We ship to anywhere in the United States.


Q. How do I track my order?

A. To view your orders, see your shipping status, or print invoices, enter your email address on our Order Status page.

Q. What happens if there is a problem with my order?

A. If you experience a problem with your order, please contact customer service. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
